MADRID- 100th anniversary CACIB

What a debut in Spain!
We participated on the 100th anniversary CACIB show of the Spanish kennel club, this was thebiggest dog event in this year in Spain.
Both Uther and Ivana made her debut with fantastic results!
Uther won champion class with his great style, however when it was about running for CACIB he was not really enthusiastic. But he did very well, and I am happy for him.
Ivana won her champion class, then CACIB and after running several rounds with several dogs (CACIB male, Young class winners) she got BOB title! It was an unforgettable experience to present her in the ring of honour, however she was not placed in the first 3 at the BIG competetion, but this was a fanastic day. We met new and old friends, and I think our dogs left their pawprint on the spanish map.
And by the way: Ivana is the first Hungarian bred and owned wolfhound who achieved spanish CACIB and BOB!
Pctures will come later on!

Szilvasvarad CACIB 2011/04/24

It was Easter sunday, and we were participated on one of the bigest Hungarian dog-events of the year, tha Szilvasvarad CACIB show. szilvasvarad is a small town on north-east Hungary, but it is world-famous place to everyone who is involved in horse breeding, especially the Lipicai breed. But today it was all about the dogs, as in every 2 years this is the only place where you can get a Crufts qualification in Hungary, and if you happen to be Best in Show in this event, you will win a Lipicai horse as well.
But for us it was not about the BIS. It was Ivana's debut in champion class, with only 2 years of age. I ewntered her into champion class, because Iwas very proud that she achieved the title in this young age. I also ebtered Uther- he does not need any title, I just did not want to leave him home alone, and above that for a long time this will be the last Hungarian show for us.
Both did very well- both achieved res.CAC in their class. Uther was not in the mood of running, and neither was Ivana, which was a big suprise for me. She was stunning in the ring, stood and behaved well, even smiled! (see photo). Uther was wonderful, and I was really very proud that I can present him in sucha good condition at more than 5,5 years of age.
After looking back the videos, I realized, that all was my fault- my dogs were not good in running, because IWAS LIMPING! After I consulted with my cusin, who is a health and massage specialist, she told me that I have an inflamation in my waist, which is affecting my movement as it causing pain and numbness all over my body. I think that was the reason why I felt my legs heavy as hell!
So ovrall it was a nice day, with nice results, and hopefully I will recover to present the dogs in Madrid!
